Prospective PhD students

We welcome prospective PhD students interested in:

  • neuronal circuit dynamics and neural computation
  • microelectrode arrays and in vitro electrophysiology
  • human iPSC-derived neuronal cultures
  • microfluidics and brain-on-chip platforms
  • neuron–astrocyte communication
  • neuromorphic computing and spiking neural networks
  • reinforcement learning for closed-loop neuromodulation
  • adaptive DBS and Parkinson’s disease electrophysiology
  • biomedical imaging and glioblastoma microstructure

Candidates should contact us with a CV, a brief statement of research interests and the names of potential fellowship or doctoral-program calls they intend to apply for.

MSc students and research trainees

We regularly host MSc students, Erasmus trainees and research interns for projects involving neural data analysis, MEA recordings, calcium imaging, computational modelling, image analysis, microfluidics and real-time closed-loop stimulation.

Postdoctoral researchers and fellows

Researchers interested in developing independent projects aligned with the NCN Lab are encouraged to contact us. We are particularly interested in candidates who can bridge experimental and computational approaches and who wish to apply for competitive national or international fellowships.
